SAHAJ (e-SV) - Online Application for New LPG Connection

The Oil Merchant Companies have launched an online platform to facilitate LPG connection. As part of the Digital India initiatives, the facility will enable you to efficiently apply, track and obtain an LPG subscription. The SAHAJ (e-SV) provides an on-line release of LPG connection with the option to make an online payment. Apart from the release of online LPG connection, the SAHAJ (e-SV) also indicates the number of cylinders and pressure regulators given to the customer against the security deposit.

As a prospective customer, you will be required to submit passport size photographs, bank account details or an Aadhaar for enabling the PAHAL (DBTL) scheme, along with proof of identity (POI), and proof of address(POA). The online application process accepts scanned copy of documents in either jpeg or pdf format. Once you have the documents ready, follow the below steps.

Steps to Apply for a SAHAJ (e-SV) New LPG Connection:

1. Visit www.indane.co.in
2. From the Customer Console on the left side, choose Online Services
3. Choose new connection from the Online Services
4. Click on Register For An Online New Connection
5. Select the name of the state, district, and the distribution
6. Enter your basic details such as name, DOB, mobile number, and email ID
7. An email will be sent to you for confirmation
8. Once you have received the email with the registration link, continued to complete the application
9. You will need to upload the scanned copy of your POI and POA, and Aadhaar for PAHAL (DBTL)
10. Upon completion of the online application, you will receive the registration number for the new connection request
11. Your application will be on the wait-list till the distributor releases the wait-list
12. You can expect a text and e-mail notification when your application gets approved

How Does It Work?

You can register for a new LPG connection online by filling out the online KYC forms. You will be required to submit your Proof of Address and Proof of Identity documents. Once you have submitted the application, your details will be verified and you will be notified by an SMS and e-mail to choose your equipment. You will also be requested to choose a mode of payment. Whether you choose an online or offline payment method, the equipment will be delivered to your home along with the e SV that is sent through an SMS and e-mail.

• Can I purchase additional items such as a Suraksha Hose while requesting a new connection using online payment? Yes. You can buy a Suraksha hose while applying for a new connection with online payment.
• What If any deviations are discovered during real-time verification of the documents (during delivery) or with the documents that were uploaded or during inspection(safety) of the installation? Your request for the connection will be cancelled by the distributor if any deviation is discovered during the authentication of the documents (at the point of delivery) or documents (uploaded) or during the safety inspection of the installation. There will be no cancellation fees.
• Is there an option for people who don't want any subsidies for LPG? Consumers who want to voluntarily surrender their subsidy can use the Give-Up option. Their cylinders will be sold at full rate to these customers, and no subsidy shall be credited to them.
